Bunmi Adedayo Foundation (BAF) is a registered Non-Governmental Organization that is committed to innovatively improving the quality of teaching and learning outcome of Public Primary Education in Nigeria. Local and international reports indicate that a larger percentage of pupils in public schools do not progress into the secondary level as a result of economic hardship, especially those from extremely disadvantaged homes and communities. We believe that it very pertinent to provide quality Basic Education experience so that primary school leavers can have the right foundation to leverage on as they advance through life.

We partner with government and the private sector to improve the quality of education and change the narratives from what it is to the ideal way. Our work is in-line with the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 that promotes qualitative and inclusive education for all. Our programmes are well-thought out and carefully designed to be pupil-centered, enabling us to directly qualitatively impact thousands of children per project. Our Funding Model provides a viable Social Impact Investment Platform for corporate organizations that are also focused on solving education challenges as a means of doing social good.

Through our flagship project, the Continuous In-Service Training for Public Primary School Teachers (CITPPST), we are solving the problems of primary school leavers who cannot read or write by enrolling public school teachers into a yearlong re-training programme. Till date, 300 teachers in 18 public primary schools have been equipped with the right teaching skills.
