The School Leadership and Sustainability Conference (SLSC) is an annual event that brings together relevant stakeholders in the education space to talk about the school business, its leadership, operations, and strategies and how they impact on the quality of teaching and learning.

Current issues and trends in the Nigerian educational system is not bringing out the best in our teachers and pupils. This is evident in student performance and quality of teachers in most Nigerian schools. The goal of this conference is to provide insights into how the myriads of issues confronting the system can be solved, starting from the leadership perspective.

Global Research have indicated that School Leadership is the second most important school-based factor that determines quality learning, it is therefore imperative to develop the leadership and managerial competences of school owners, administrators, and board members for improved learning outcomes. This conference seeks attract international and Nigerian speakers who are veteran educators and education consultants to introduce best standard practices in school management and leadership to the conference participants through research presentations, case study reviews, paper presentation, expert opinions, and panel discussions.
The Theme for this year’s conference is Leveraging Technology for School Sustainability

The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic exposed the gaps in the Nigerian educational sector. A crucial gap is the inability of schools to seamlessly adopt the use of technology for their sustainability. For instance, the COVID-19-induced lockdown imposed by the government rendered all physical educational activities inoperative. As such, there arose the need for the adoption of remote learning which would require the input of technology.

While the pandemic gave great insight into the use of technology for attaining school sustainability, quite a good number of schools still could not exploit the potential of technology for school sustainability.

The goals of this year’s conference are to show school leaders how to embrace and deploy technology in developing and deploying technology to further enhance their school processes. It will also highlight important policy issues that may impact on the deployment and use of technology in schools, especially at the grassroots.
